We hope it'll be on the next saturday. 29th November. Meeting time is tentatively at the closest MRT station to the resturant preferred by more people around 6pm.

Julie and I was discussing about when we can meet and what foods we'll eat. The "we" was only Julie and myself, but then we decided to open invitation to all others since we've not meet up for ages. And i mean it, ages.

Always, when we try to meet for dinner, there's 3 main obstacles in our way.

1. Time- All of us have our own different schedules to live by and datelines to meet, but I believe, with the right efforts, we can always make time for a nice dinner with great company that used to occur every recess but not so during the past one year or so.
2. Budget-I know I can't persuade your parents to give you more allowance just for this dinner I'm proposing, but a gathering with friends versus money, I choose gathering and i hope you too. How long have we not contribute our dollars to paying a bill that we pay not only for the food and place to sit but also a great place to enjoy ourselves with the company of true friends? Think of it this way, for the times we didn't meet up, we have been saving aside some money for this. And the prolonged period that we have not see each other, only makes these dollars more worth-spending!!
3. People-when more of your close friends and friends are around, you will enjoy more cause there's more catching up to do. Do i have to explain more?

Hope you took some time to really read through the above, and it sounds convincing, not cheesy. Then you think it's an excellent idea, but the good memories only lasted for a few moment and you remember some external factors that diminished the good moments you were thinking about. Like the waiting for such a big number of seats, or hopping from place to place hoping to find a place that can accommodate us all after giving up hope on the previous venue. Or not able to agree on a place to dine.

True, dining in Singapore in a large group is hard but it's not impossible. We;ll have to decide where to eat first and hopefully get a reservation.

Hence, I've picked 2 restaurant from www.hungrygowhere.com based on budget consideration and the cuisine.

First is Dai Ka Jie Kitchen which is on the recently-opened level 5 of the hereens. Click on the name to find out more. Went there yesterday and saw it, food looks good. The price range looks reasonable, and there's a promotion of 15% off when you say "HUNGRY GO WHERE" when you pay your bill. It's close to Somerset MRT, if you want to know.

The second choice is Awon Korean Restaurant. I've personally ate there before, and I hope we can try out their Korean BBQ buffet,which i have not!! It's not going to be a big variety of things but it's buffet, so we can eat without care, except for one of us whose watching out for his/her waistline. The kimchi is good along with the other sides. It's located near City Hall MRT station.

Take some time to go through the website introducing the restaurants and the reviews. Hope I've got your salivary enzymes active!!

Food aside, let's not forget about the real cause of the gathering. Birthdays and good companionship with loads of catching up to do!!
